Transition from Class Charts to Arbor

Important update re: Transition from Class Charts to Arbor

We are writing to inform you about an important change regarding how we share information about students’ behaviour and homework.

Currently, we use the separate platform Class Charts for these updates, but after Easter we will be consolidating all aspects of school communication  - including behaviour tracking and homework – onto Arbor, the platform we already use for attendance, finances and communication.  This change will take effect from Tuesday 22nd April.  We believe it will provide a more streamlined and efficient experience for both parents and students.

Why the change?

By using one platform for all key school updates, we aim to:

  • Make it easier for parents to access all information in one place.
  • Improve communication between home and school.
  • Ensure a more consistent and user-friendly experience for families.

What do you need to do?

If you already use the Arbor app, there is no need to do anything – the behaviour and homework icon will automatically appear on the Quick Actions homepage on the launch date.

  • If you haven’t yet accessed Arbor, we encourage you to log on as soon as possible.  We currently have a 98% uptake of Arbor amongst parents and guardians. Tutors will contact families who have not yet engaged with the platform to offer support on how to do so.
  • Pupils will be informed of these changes next week in assembly first and then shown how to download and log into the app over the coming weeks before Easter.  They will then be able to access their homework and track their achievement points themselves, like they currently do.

Further communication will be sent to parents and guardians in due course, to provide more detailed support on navigating the app.

We understand that changes like this can take time and some adjustment, which is why we wanted to let you know early.  We appreciate your support in making this transition as smooth as possible.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Thank you for your continued support.
