The National Maritime Museum welcomed Danebury GCSE History students to a workshop on the Spanish Armada on Tuesday. There was an opportunity to view the armada gallery, discuss the portraits of the age and handle artefacts. Students assessed the importance of the Elizabeth I Armada portrait and analysed artifacts to judge its usefulness and reliability. They had time to view the Cutty Sark clipper ship and stretch our legs in Greenwich before heading home. A fantastic learning opportunity for our exceptionally well-behaved upper school.
